Who are we and
How do we work?
Action Teranga is a Non-Profit organization 501c3 that was founded
in 2008 as a commitment to improve The Healthcare system in Africa
and save Lives.
Every day thousands of patients in the developing world are turned
away from hospitals and medical centers due to a lack of basic
medical equipment and supplies.
Despite deplorable conditions of medical care in Africa, medical
professionals have the knowledge to treat their patients.
It is our goal to help them to:
1. Improve existing health care services
2. Improve access to health care services
3. Advance the status of the health of African people over time
Read the statement from Speciality Hospitals executives: "High
Quality...Long Term Acute Care is the mission of SPECIALTY HOSPITALS
of Washington, DC. Let's help our Senegalese neighbors realize
the same..."
You too can become a 'stake-holder' in our efforts by helping
us ship this continuous supply of medical equipment... or become
even more involved personally.
So far we have help delivered more than 15 containers to Africa directly or through our stakeholders; we are also working with the US NAVY in conjunction with their Handclasps Organization to supplies many African countries trough their respective government.
These are few
countries that have taken advantage of our donations so far: Senegal;
Gambia; Togo; Congo; Ghana; Nigeria and Tanzania.
